Without a doubt these writing disciplines are interconnected, for
each demands the same lingual understanding and abilities.
But I can still offer a few specifics about my approach to each of
these services.
Writing. Based on an innate sense of the language and its
grammar, my versatile skills enable me to write for
any medium and audience in any style and tone. As a business writing instructor,
I teach my students to craft
every piece of writing to meet business and marketing
objectives. I strongly believe that the requirements
of the project should determine the tone and writing
style, not the writer's personal preferences.
Editing. Though any given project might require more or
less intervention, I generally correct errors, clarify
confusing passages, adjust organization and flow,
and smooth out other infelicities while maintaining
the writer's style. (And if the style isn't appropriate for the project,
I'll let you know that, too!)
Proofreading. My eagle eyes review documents, software programs, web sites and other
projects in various stages of development, correcting (or simply
identifying) mistakes in spelling, punctation, grammar, and more.
